A/Prof Stephen Bell is a specialist colorectal surgeon specialising in minimally invasive techniques. His major interests include laparoscopic and robotic colorectal surgery. He treats all forms of colorectal disease including  cancer, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's & ulcerative colitis), diverticular disease and bowel dysfunction. He also manages bowel bleeding, abdominal pain and performs hernia surgery. He is a member of the CSSANZ, and the past Chairman of the Training Board in Colon and Rectal Surgery. He is involved in research and training of specialist colorectal surgeons.
